Flying?
The nearest airport to Ellensburg is Yakima (YKM) about 30 minutes away.  However, there are better options for getting to Ellensburg.

Bus?
Flixbus USA operates a bus from Seattle Tacoma Intl. Airport to Ellensburg twice daily. Tickets cost about $30 and the journey takes about 2 hours. Check out the routes from various other parts of the state.
The Greyhound Bus will also get you there. See Routes here.

Ellensburg has a robust public transport including Lyft and Ubers to help you get around the town. 

Parking is free at Central Washington University for the Conference Weekend. (or it is $6... checking on that).

WAEA has TAKEN OVER one of the Dorms at Central!

CWU has reserved Alford-Montgomery Hall, a resident hall just for WAEA conference attendees. 

We look forward to hosting you for the WAEA November 1-2 in Alford Montgomery Hall!

You can check in at the Munson Hall Vantage Room: 604 E University Way, Ellensburg, WA 98926.

This building shares a parking lot with WSECU, but look for our red awning above our door (photo below).

Check in time is scheduled between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. Our office does close at 5:00 so if you arriving later in the evening a delegate can pick up the keys on your behalf. At the time of check in we will provide you with keys, a campus map, and a welcome letter with some basic information and contact info.

PARKING:
If you plan to park in a campus parking lot prior to 4:30 pm on Friday, you will need to purchase a parking permit for your vehicle. Permits are $6 per day and can be purchased online at cwu.edu/parking. Parking is free after 4:30 pm and on weekends. Please adhere to all posted parking lot hours and restrictions.


Each room is $87 per night, including tax. (double or single occupancy)
  • There are no students in this building, only WAEA Fall Conference Attendees from across the State.
  • Rooms are either double or single occupancy and consist of twin bed(s), a small microwave and mini fridge. 
  • Bathrooms are located on each floor and shared. 
  • Bedding and towels are provided but there is no daily towel change or maid service. 
  • There is no elevator in the building and guests are required to use the stairs for access to dorm rooms if not on the first floor.
