Arts and Heritage Day is a 1-2 day February event in Olympia, Washington
This event is interwoven with Advocacy tips, cultural events, and 15-minute visits with local legislators. Working in teams, each member’s presentation is limited to 5 minutes. Be prepared and succinct. America For the Arts Advocacy Day is an annual event in Washington DC that is now called “The National Arts Action Summit.”
The two day March event begins with Advocacy DAY ONE: Training that includes a substantial notebook with “Talking Points,” research, and statistics. All information can be accessed from their website, www.artsusa.org or the 2019 summit at Arts Advocacy Day Training sessions are invaluable. DAY TWO: The second day is spent with a state team visiting federal legislators on Capitol Hill. |
