"I have taught high school art for 13 years at Cascade High school in Everett. I have also taught homeschool art classes for k-12 on the Eastside for 5 years when my own kids were little. I have had my own art education business called Art Wise Northwest for 2 years. I have also taught art camps out of my home for 12 years. I was also high school art teacher of the year for 2020. My passion in life is meeting new people, learning about creativity and art, and then sharing it with everyone I meet! Life is short and I don't want to miss a day I could be creating art or helping other create art!"

Find your Artist Voice with Media Exploration

Learn to guide your students away from teacher directed visual notes to self directed media exploration.

I will share how I accomplish this with all four of my drawing and paint levels and how I do it through a level 1 class from day 1 to the end of the semester.

I was inspired by the book Finding Your Creative Voice by Lisa Congdon and the new AP studio Art exam.

​I have created several examples and also will show my student examples.
