The Washington Art Education Association’s Fall Conference is one of the largest professional development opportunities in the state of Washington that is exclusively developed for art educators and artists. Attendees participate in exemplary professional learning workshops and sessions with pK-12 art educators, museum educators, researchers, scholars/university professors, pre-service art educators, retired art educators, teaching artists, and administrators/supervisors.

The 2024 Fall Conference is being held at
Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA with additional events at Gallery One on Friday and Saturday Night. We are heading to the "Crossroads of the State" to pull the East and West (and all other areas) together to Be HERE for the ART ! We will be hosting workshops aligned with WAEA's vision for building connections, collaborating, learning together, and advocating for the Visual Arts in the state of Washington! Plus SO MUCH MORE! We are accepting workshop proposals now for the WAEA Fall Conference Nov. 1-2 in Ellensburg, WA at Central Washington University! PLEASE SUBMIT Workshop Proposals by Sept 21st! The conference theme is Visual Arts Education: the Crossroads of Creativity. *Have your initial proposal approved by August 17th, 2024 and receive a special coupon code for a $50 registration discount. FALL CONFERENCE BREAKOUT SESSIONS INCLUDE: 85 minute Sessions-

Local Tour and/or Offsite Art Making (at least 1 hour or up to 3 Hours)
We are not charging for Ticketed Sessions sessions this year. If it is a Hand-On Workshop, the first 25 in the room will have supplies to participate, and any additional workshop attendees can watch demo. We are offering up to $75 reimbursement for 85 min hands on sessions (with receipts and the understanding that attendees leave with products). The reimbursement Google Form will be on the Conference Website. Please complete the form below if you are interested in being a presenter at the 2024 Fall Conference. Fill out with information that convinces the committee that your workshop presentations will speak to our WAEA members and align to the WAEA Pillars. We will be asking for more complete information once your presentation is approved. If approved, You will receive an additional form to fill in additional information later this summer.
