HOW TO PARTICIPATE

WAEA YAM ART EXHIBIT: Teachers may submit up to 10 student artwork for the state YAM student art exhibit. Sargent Art is a generous supporter of YAM.
  • One Overall winning student will receive an assortment of art supplies worth $500 Retail value; and the Overall winning teacher would receive classroom art supplies worth $ 1,000 Retail value.
  • The other categories include Elementary (K-5), Middle (6-8), and High (9-12). In each category the prize is art supplies for the student worth $100 Retail Value and a certificate; and classroom art supplies for the teacher worth $300 Retail value; 
  • There will also be a Gift of Participation for each school. The best reward, for participating in Youth Art Month is that all student work is at the Tacoma Art Museum. Students and their families really enjoy seeing their artwork displayed professionally and students are celebrated for their artistic accomplishments!​
Please Note: Teachers, you will need to matte the student art before submitting it. You are of course welcome to ask the YAM Chair yam@waea.net for advice on matting your work or other YAM art show questions.
